China with the new crop coming still has stocks from last year for around 280,000mts .Most of the quantity is contracted but not loaded yet. That inventory is mainly controlled by COFCO-TUNHE, GUANNONG, the EX HAOHAN and EX CHALKIS owners and it’s not easy to find available quantity which can be dealed. In the meantime 2020 crop Fob prices are increasing from about 800 $/mt to 830/840 $/mt depending on quality and payment terms. For crop 2021, it is announced that crop will be short of about 680,000Mu ( about 45 000 Ha) with a total quantity of about 4,4 to 4,8million tons of fresh tomatoes which is quite low versus 2020 crop. New crop offer is not ready yet, but rumor said that COFCO started to offer $ 900/mt Fob for triple.
